Happiest of Saturday's AND, one of my FAVORITE days of the year - Small Business Saturday! As a small business owner myself, I have such admiration for those who go ALL IN with their passion. Yes, owning your own business can be huge risk, but the pros, definitely, outweigh the cons (most of the time - ha) and it is so flipping rewarding to bring your love and talent to the forefront!
As a FOODIE, I thought the perfect way to highlight the "Shop Small" movement was to showcase one of my "go-to" restaurants in the Baltimore area - Tark's Grill. And, with this being my VERY FIRST VLOG, I cannot thank the owner and unbelievable staff for their hospitality, the opportunity to give my audience a sneak peek at their establishment, and allowing a Fit4Janine takeover at the restaurant!
Located in beautiful Greenspring Station in Baltimore County, Maryland, Tark's Grill has put down roots here for the past 10 years and, within the last two, has undergone new management by the same gentlemen who own and operate City Cafe in one of Baltimore's iconic & historic neighborhoods, Mt. Vernon.
I had the pleasure of speaking with one of the owner's, Bruce Bodie, who talks about what is new and exciting this Holiday season, as well as what incentives Greenspring Station is doing to promote all of their Small Businesses. Make sure to take a peek at the FULL video to hear what he has to say!
After being purchased in October 2016, Tark's rebranded with the focus on "New American" cuisine, and a chef-inspired, seasonally-changing menu to please all palettes. I can tell you, it is, TOTALLY, "fit for the foodie." For a stylish and inviting dining experience, this neighborhood restaurant is the perfect spot to gather co-workers for an after work happy hour, a fun, festive, and laid back lunch or dinner, brunch on the weekends, or hosting a private event in one of their many chic & cozy rooms!
And, when the weather warms up, check out their beautiful courtyard and patio space! Even with the cooler temperatures this time of year, the heaters that adorn the (retractable) pergola can make for a fun al fresco dining experience!
Oh, "and the service!" :) Make sure to give a shoutout to the staff on your next visit! They are so incredibly accommodating, and go out of their way to make sure your dining experience is unforgettable. And, if you have the pleasure of seeing Alejandro, tell him that his hand modeling skills - yes, he is the one presenting me with the cocktail in the video - are going to take his career to the next level!
