In the words of Father of the Bride, "well, she DID it, and now it is time party!"
And, boy, did we party!
Yes, my sister said "I Do" (almost) 2 weeks ago in what was a Wedding that was FIT for both her and her husband (okay, that is still CRAZY to think)! While there have been so many emotions over the last month, there are a few words that come to mind - relief, happiness, sadness, and NEW BEGINNINGS.
I really was not sure how I was going to feel through all of this. The last 14 months of their engagement I have felt the highs and lows with the Wedding planning process, and all the pomp and circumstance that has come with it.
On her Wedding Day, my goal was to be the best Sister and Matron of Honor I could be, and make her day the "BEST DAY EVER."
Friday's festivities began with a fabulous lunch at one of Baltimore's newest, and "bougiest," restaurants on the 29th floor of the Four Season's Hotel - The Bygone. Actually, you can check out my post HERE with why you should check it out this coming Labor Day weekend. Although we had the restaurant to ourselves, I can, totally, see how this place is where the nightlife happens when Happy Hour rolls around. From the cocktails served in old fashioned cocktail glasses, to the wide selection of delicious appetizers, awesome salads, beautiful entrees, and even a good old fashioned sandwich or burger, all palette's can find something on this menu. Oh, and the view? Not too shabby...
While I had every intention of having my phone with me to take pics, I ended up leaving it in my purse most of the time because, well, I just relied on others to send them to me! I know, how presumptuous! Here is a little peek at the rehearsal dinner which took place on the top floor of the Rusty Scupper. A beautiful view in their private room, and a great backdrop for pictures (especially of the Bridal party). A huge shout-out to Ted Baker and Loeffler Randallfor styling me for unch and dinner!
And last, but certainly not least, THE WEDDING DAY! While there are so many things I could talk about, I am going to focus this on all the people who made this day the “BEST DAY EVER” ever for my entire family! A HUGE THANK YOU to the following designers, vendors, and individuals who kept this Wedding “Fit4Janine”…because that is what mattered the most, right?
