Good Morning Gorgeous! Let me start by saying that I hope you & your family have a WONDERFUL Thanksgiving! Embrace family tradition, eat what you like and what you want, and keep reminding yourself of all the things you are thankful for this year, and every year.
It's hard to think that today is Thanksgiving. I, vividly, remember it this time last year and to think we are here again is just crazy! It is another reminder of how fast time goes, and that each day is a gift, and one that we should forever be thankful for too.
Ugh, the Holiday's can be tough. I am feeling it, for sure. Yes, this is my FAVORITE week of the year and, tomorrow, we go full board into Christmas BUT that "merry" spirit just feels dull. The other day, I was going through some of my notes from January, and one of them had to do with my goals for 2019. I have never really committed goals to paper BUT I did, and it was interesting to see what was accomplished and still "pending." My first reaction was "omgosh, most of these are still floating out there. Nice job Janine." THEN, I quickly refocused and said to myself "wait, most of these are in the process of happening. Just because they did not get the check mark next to them does not mean they have not been accomplished." And, so, I closed that document and pushed on.
When I think about all that has happened this year - my family & friends, the journey, the experiences, the people I have met, the good, the ugly, the messy, the complicated, etc. - one thing comes to mind. I give thanks.
I give thanks to my family & friends. My support system, my "team," my biggest cheerleader(s), and the ones who keep me in absolute check.
I give thanks to journey I have been on - both personally and professionally - even when it has come with frustration, irritation, and even a little sadness.
I give thanks to the unbelievable experiences I have been so fortunate to take part in and be part of over these last 11 months.
I give thanks to those individuals who have come into my life with whom have made me a better person, and brought out a side of me that had been closed off for so long.
I give thanks to navigating through "messy" waters, and coming out stronger, and with a more level head.
Today, and every day, take a moment to give thanks to where you are, right now, in your journey. It does not have to be pretty, or "perfect" (remember, that is a myth anyway), or wrapped up in a nice neat bow. Give thanks for being YOU; give thanks for doing the best you can every single day; and give thanks for the ability to be on this ever evolving journey.
You just never know where it may take you, who you will meet, and how it could lead you to a happily ever after.
From my family to yours, Happy Thanksgiving love!
