#trendingTuesday: Green & Yellow, Crushed Velvet, and Being a "Good American!"

Hey there October 29th! Ah, almost through this month, and poof, the Holiday's will be upon us. Let's be honest, they are here. Once the Hallmark Channel starts the continuous Christmas movies, we are IN IT. Plus, have you noticed that MOST places have been decked out for the last few weeks. I mean, why are we even bothering with Halloween? The candy has been out since the Summer - HA!

While I am bummed this is my final "Trending Tuesday," I am not going to leave you hanging for much longer. Saturday's in November are going to be all about the style, so I will be continuing the "trend."

As I have been showcasing, mustard yellow seems to be the HOT color this season. Never did I EVER think it would be a good color on me but it's been a go-to for me lately (and I so appreciate the sweet compliments how it looks on me too). It must be the blonde hair and blue eyes - LOL.

Today's look is being brought to you from Old Westminster Winery in Westminster, Maryland.

Janine Wine + Barn

This "Central Drapey Popover Shirt" in Tungsten Glow is by Madewell for Nordstrom. And, GUESS WHAT?!?! It is TOTALLY on-sale right now too! See, I always give the BEST NEWS!

Now onto the sweater! The "Sophie Open-Front Sweater Blazer" is one of J. Crew's TOP sellers. While my color of choice was "Old Forest," there are 5 additional colors from which to choose. It's classy, with a side of preppy, and it was the perfect addition to my blouse - warmth and color included - when the sun started to go down, and the vino kept flowing.

Now on to THESE JEANS! I will be the first to admit that while I love a good pair of jeans, I absolutely despise how every style fits differently, some brands I wear a 2, and others a 4 or 6, some I cannot even get past my calves, and others are so loose they look ridiculous. This season, I did some research to find out the BEST jeans to fit a curvy, athletic body type. Yes, I do not have legs for days; I have a very athletic lower body - quads and booty to prove.

One of the brands that kept popping up in my search was Good American.

"Fashion should be made to fit women, not the other way around." Khloé Kardashian and Emma Grede realized that if they had a hard time finding jeans that flattered their body types, tons of other women must too. In response to the plight of ladies everywhere, the duo founded Good American—a made-in-L.A. line that serves up expertly crafted, premium denim styles."

Needless to say, I have been hooked ever since! This pair that I am wearing are the "Good Legs Ankle Skinny." Seriously, these have been a denim game changer for me! In fact, you will be seeing another pair I just purchased SOON!

Janine Sit Back

They hug in all of the right places and, just as the style description points out, "made with a gap-proof contoured waistband and a high waist that lengthens your legs, these ankle-grazing skinny jeans are designed to flatter every curve."

Janine Stand with Wine

In the words of the brand - "Looking Good and Doing Good. We are Good American." If there is a style you have that you really like, please, let me know! As I mentioned, shortly - as in, maybe this Saturday - you will see the next pair I purchased!

Finally, the outfit would not be complete with some fabulous accessories. While the necklace and shoes are from my personal collection from a few years ago, this clutch is brand spankin' new!

Clutch

This "Francesca Velvet Clutch" in Navy from Anthropologie (duh) is an absolute stunner! While I dressed it down with jeans, this would be fabulous for a cocktail attire or even black tie event. Talk about elevating your look! If you want the option, there is a a removable strap made of faux pearl embellishments if you like that "over the shoulder look!"

Alright you fabulous YOU - GO SHOPPING! :)
