#MondayVibes have me feeling the blues. I don't know if it is because it is Monday, the fact that it is raining, the start of a new week, or some other things I am working through that just have me in a funk. In times like this, I find that when I throw myself into my work, it makes things feel a little easier.
You know what else makes it easier? Sipping on my 4th cup of coffee as I write this blog post, and catching up on episodes of "Girlfriend's Guide to Divorce." Ha!
While this weekend was filled with a lot of emotion, I did manage to get in a little "fun" on Saturday. I had the opportunity to attend the 4th Annual "Vino In Vogue" event in Baltimore's trendiest area - Harbor East. Seriously, what could be better than an afternoon of wine tasting, shopping, and just getting out of your daily routine?
I will be honest, this was a last minute decision to attend the event, even if I had it on my calendar for a few weeks. I say that because the tasting tickets sold out FAST, I was not able to secure a photographer in enough time, and I, literally, was purchasing my outfit to showcase an hour or two beforehand! This is so not #fit4janine! Luckily, my Mom and Sister came to the rescue - they gave me the thumbs up on my outfit AND my sister took the role as photographer for the afternoon.
On a different note, a HUGE thank you to Lindsay Shields of No Filter Glam for hopping on board as part of my hair and makeup team. A dream come true! :)
Luckily, after a day prior of nothing but rain (ugh), it was blue skies, sunshine, and a downright windy afternoon in downtown Baltimore. The fact that the sun was out, though, even if my beach waves turned into wind waves, just brightened my spirits.
Tasting tables from neighborhood restaurants and various Maryland wineries (Black Ankle Vineyards & Old Westminster Winery) lined the sidewalks of fabulous Harbor East. From sommeliers to wine experts, I had the opportunity to swirl & sip different wine varietals & blends from all different regions! As I mentioned, though, with the tasting tickets having sold out - there was an option of 10, 15, or 20 tastings - you did have the option to buy what you liked by the glass. And, I will say, I kind of liked this option better!
So, as I consumed some of my favorite reds, my sister captured my latest look which is FRESH in the stores! While the color of my coat is from a few years back at J.Crew, the style is still in stores, and there are lots of fabulous colors from which to choose! There is a pink color that I am in LOVE with!
Happy Shopping Love! :) Until next week's coffee talk...
