Okay, did you know that Amazon has their very own line of clothing brands? See, you learn something new every day. I shared a few weeks ago all of my "Bougie Summer Amazon Finds," and, today, I am sharing with you how I am styling some of the pieces I found while perusing their site.
While I have a hard time breaking from my norm, the art of a really good fashionista is pairing expensive with inexpensive, and not paying full price (most of the time). It involves time, and keeping your finger on the pulse, and I should, probably, take my own advice. LOL.
I am excited to share with you a few pieces that I recently purchased - 2 more are on the way too (so cute too) - and how I styled them with other items/accessories I have in my closet.
Styling In My Summer Amazon Finds!
Let's start with this patriotic outfit! I joked on social media that I was a day late and a whole lot of dollars short in wearing this ensemble since 4th of July had come and gone.
I have been all about the high-waisted shorts this season. For one, it accentuates my waist and makes my legs look a little longer. Plus there is a LOT more give for those of us with an hour glass, athletic build. My Amazon score here were these navy and white pinstripe shorts. And, if the stripes are not your thing, there are 6 other SOLID colors from which to choose. Adorned with pockets and a belt, these were so flipping comfortable and just adding a little pizazz to the Ted Baker tee that I wore with it. FYI: I have this short in another style; ruffled sleeves in black from 2 seasons ago. Last season, the ruffles were replaced with a pearl embellished neckline. A great piece for under $100 to have in your closet, although this year's version has not yet been released!
And these accessories! The bag is from Sassanova and is supposed to replicate the bag that Blaire Waldorf would have on her shoulder in the TV series, Gossip Girl. Ah, I love that show and, actually, and rewatching it on Netflix (when I can keep my eyes open for longer than 10 minutes at night). It is company while I do computer work too. I have used the bag without the strap but it felt so appropriate to use it with this look. The cute, navy beaded cuff is from Raina Dawn, and was the perfect finishing touch!
P.S. I had the PERFECT matching shoes for this outfit too! In fact, I, recently, showcased them HERE.
This next look just came together! Talk about a healthy dose of Summer!
This cashmere tee - yes, although more like a really, really, light sweater - and these mint green high-waisted shorts are part of my Amazon steals. This outfit received so many compliments! It just felt ridiculously FUN too! Not a fan of the mint green? Have no fear - there are 29 other colors/prints to choose. I don't know about you but mint green seems to be trending this Summer, so I had to get in on the stylish action. As for the top, I chose the white (it looks more ivory in person) tee because it would go with anything. I may have to grab another; I love that this tee is so darn dressy!
What did I pair them with from my closet?
One of my new favorite companies is "Squeeze de Citron," and their colorful line of bags are just beautiful! This is one of their medium sized totes in "rain dark coral." And, yes, you can find it at Sassanova, along with the gold and ivory necklace I am sporting. These bags sell out FAST so, if you like it, grab one TODAY! Such a great gift, especially if you fill the inside with a whole bunch of goodies too!
These hot pink "Bikini" Kate Spade slides are my go-to right now! Ah, LOVE THEM! You can find these at Matava Shoes, and they also come in black if you prefer to keep it basic. All I have to say is these shoes are definitely, NOT, basic. The fedora is from the super cute Poppy & Stella (love the printed detail), located in Baltimore & Ellicott City, and the bracelet is another find from Raina Dawn.
Don't you just want to go shopping right now? Or the beach? Or the islands? Oh, I know I am ready to kick my travel back up, and doing so with some stylish finds and bright colors! How is that to kick off your Thursday? Btw, how is it July 16th already?
Cheers to it (almost) being the weekend, and styling in some Summer Amazon finds! Hope your day is fabulous!
